August: Learning To Trust The Universe

Sometimes we need to surrender. Realising that no amount of planning or organising can force situations to play out as we hope or prevent certain things from happening. We learn to accept how things are.

However surrendering and accepting can be really hard, especially when things don’t appear to be going our way. 

But how many times can you look back at something that didn’t go as you had hoped and can now see that was a blessing in a disguise?  As much as it hurt or angered you at the time, you know that sometimes not getting what you want is a true gift.

So this month if you’re worrying about things which are out of your control, as much as you can – surrender.  Remembering that the universe may not necessarily please you, but it will serve you.  Practice patience and learn to trust that things will work out as they are meant to. 

This doesn’t mean sitting back and letting life pass you by.  It means being proactive, actively participating in your life, taking responsibility for what you can control, the stories you tell yourself about situations and your outlook and approach to life. 

  • Trusting the universe. 
  • Knowing that what you focus on, you invite in. 
  • Realising your world is only in the mind of the maker. 

 

Practicing yoga can really help with building this trust and on the Yoga Three60 You Tube Channel you’ll find lots of videos to help you listen to your body, you mind and your emotions more.  So you take back control and make conscious decisions on how you want to live your life.

In other news:

  • Class Demand – I now have a waiting list for my Monday and Tuesday yoga classes.  I am so grateful to have such wonderful customers who come to my classes and keep coming back (thank you!)  This means I will be looking to start another evening class this Autumn and potentially another day time class.   So watch this space!
  • Retreat Update – Only one more month until our yoga retreat in the beautiful Brecon Beacons!
    For those who wanted to come but couldn’t make this retreat (or for anyone interested in coming along to a retreat!) I will be holding another one in early 2020!
    So if you are interested in finding out more please contact meand I can add you to the mailing list so you hear about this first. 
  • Rishikesh Surya Namaskar – I shared a video of this lovely practice you can do at sunrise, sunset or over a lunchbreak to give a great stretch the whole body whilst synchronising your breath with the movements.   I particularly recommend this first thing in the morning, outside in the fresh air before the world wakes up!

 

I hope you have a lovely August and get the chance to take some time out to reflect on what kind of world will you make for yourself today, tomorrow, this month, this summer, this year…….
