March Newsletter: Springing Into Spring!

Springing into springI hope you are having a great March so far!

With the clocks going forward this month and the daffodils out, Spring is definitely in the air!

I can tell winter is starting to draw to a close as the days are a little longer, the evenings a little lighter and the sun is a little warmer. Wonderful! This change in weather reminds me that in life, change is inevitable. Just like nature changes with the seasons. Animals who hibernated in winter now come out to play and trees that lost their leaves now start to flower. Things are always changing and life is constantly surprising us.

We are not separate from this constant flow of change and we can either resist change, or we can go with it.

Of course change can be scary, but it can also bring opportunities and helps us grow too. So will you spring into Spring?

The choice is yours.

I want to share this wonderful quote from the ‘Bhagavad Gita,’ an ancient Indian text (and arguably the greatest Indian textbook of Yoga):

“Whatever happened was good
Whatever is happening is good
Whatever will happen will also be good”

What has happened has happened. There is nothing more to be done. The future is a picture, an illusion. It will never come. It is always now. You control the present. Live it to the fullest and with that, know change is part of that and embrace it. Don’t fear it.

Yoga is a great way to practice being in the moment. Connecting to your breath and simply being. There are so many opportunities to practice Yoga now whether in a studio, outdoors or even online. So why not roll out your mat, stretch, breathe and see how you feel. For some online yoga feel free to watch any of my online videos which you can find here.

With that in mind, here is all my other yoga news:


  • Yoga Retreats: After a wonderful January retreat I am so excited to let you know about our May yoga retreat, taking place 1st – 3rd May 2020. You can find all of the information here for the retreat. Spaces are already going and are limited to just 15 people, so if you are interested in coming or have any questions please email me 
  • If you want to get an idea of what you can expect at future retreats you may want to have a little look at this short video to see what we got up to in our January retreat.


Weekly yoga classes: Our weekly yoga class timetable has slightly changed with a new location for our Monday classes from March. Please see the new timetable and if you are looking to join a yoga class or perhaps have a friend or family member who you think would enjoy coming along please email me and we can have a chat about what you’re looking for.


Wellbeing talks: I will be offering wellbeing talks throughout 2020, with the first talk being on Ayurveda. Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems and sister science to Yoga. I will be giving an introduction to Ayurveda in this new workshop and cannot wait to share more information soon. If you want to join me for a morning of yoga and Ayurveda then just get on the mailing list by emailing me to find out more.


Pregnancy classes: We started our pregnancy yoga classes in January and I am really excited to be offering these as a regular weekly class from April. All dates and times will be available soon so keep an eye on my website and Facebook page for more information.


Mum and baby yoga classes: I am so thrilled to let you know I will be offering baby yoga classes from April! These will be every Wednesday morning in Penylan, Cardiff for babies from 3 months – pre-mobile (around 9-12 months). If you want to find out more about these classes please email me and I’d be delighted to tell you more!
